OUR HOME

There is a sign in Sierra Leone that says "There is not success without a struggle"! How true this is!

Having endured many set backs and frustrations we finally had our new home in March 2007 which we are renting.

As we stood in the grounds for the first time, and reflected back on the long and hard road we had endured to get this far, we finally realised the reality of our vision.

WE HAD DONE IT! It had all been worth it!

Work began on refurbishing the home and building an outside kitchen, necessary since all cooking must be done outside on open coal fires as there is no gas and only intermittent power!

“Eventually our aspiration is to buy land and build our own home”, Rosemary said when asked in 2007.
